How to Start a Free Blog at Blogger.com

If you've been trying to start a blog for a long time, but you're afraid of the process, don't be alone. 

One of the best ways to keep a door on the door is to post the first free service blog that definitely exists for people like you who are new to blog share.

Google's free blogging blog is one of those sites. Once you've signed up for a new blog at Blogger.com, think about what kind of topics you want to discuss in your blog. One of the first things you should ask is the name of the blog. 

This is an important name because it can attract readers to your blog. It's supposed to be unique - Blogger lets you know if it's not easy to remember, and if your primary title has a link.

Get started In your web browser, go to the Blogger.com home page and click the Create New Blogger button to start the process of starting your new Blogger.com blog.

If you are not already logged in to your Google account, you will be asked to enter your Google login information. If you don't already have a Google Account, follow the prompts to create one.

Enter your blog name in the Create New Blog screen

Enter the name you chose for your blog and enter your address that provides the .blogspot.com previous field in the URL of your new blog.

For example: enter my new blog in the title area and newblog.blogspot.com in the address area. If the address you entered is unavailable, the form prompts you for a different, similar address.

You can add a custom domain later. A custom domain replaces .blogspot.com with the URL of your new blog.

Choose a theme

You don't have to buy a personal domain name for your new blog. You can use .blogspot.com free of charge indefinitely.
Write your first post 

Click the Create New Post button to get started. 

On the same screen, select the theme for your new blog. Themes are depicted onscreen. Scroll through the list and choose one just to create a blog. You'll be able to browse many more themes and customize the blog later.

Click on your favorite theme and click Create Blog! Tank.

You may be prompted to find a personal domain name for your new blog immediately. If you want to do this, scroll through the list of suggested domains, see the price per year, and make your choice. Otherwise, skip this option.

You are now ready to post the first blog post on your new blog, Blogger.com. Don't be distracted by the blank screen.

Type a short message in the field and press the Preview button at the top of the screen to see what your post will look like in the selected theme. The preview loads a new tab, but this action will not publish the post.

Your preview may look exactly like you, or you can do something big or bold to get your attention. This is where formatting comes from. Close the preview tab and go back to the tab where you are writing your article.

You don't have to do any fancy formatting but look for the icons in the row above the row. There are formatting options that you can use in your blog post. For a description of what it does, hover the cursor over one another.

As you can imagine, you have standard text formats that include bold, italic, and highlighted type, font face and size options, and positioning options. Highlight just a word or text section and click the button you want.

You can add links, photos, videos, and emoji, or change the background color. Use these - not all at once!? Personalize your message. Use them for a while and press the preview button to see how things look.

Nothing is saved until you click the Publish button at the top of the screen (or the Preview screen below the preview screen).

Click Publish. You've started your new blog. Congratulations!
